"Kapululira Secondary School" in Chirundu
Location: Chirundu is located on the border with Zimbabwe, the mouth of the Zambezi. A beautiful landscape reminiscent of the mountainous landscape of southern Germany. Almost on the riverbank, in this national park, lies the Kapululira Secondary School.
Digital library: The EC² Digital School Learning System is installed along with a WIFI signal around the school grounds to access it from other classrooms. In 2022 we donated some tablets, fixed some brocken hardware and donated projector.
Special tasks: A storm in 2020 uncovered two classrooms and destroyed three teachers' apartments. Since then, teachers have had to drive 8 km with an off-roader vehicle to school every day. In the classrooms, all tables and chairs were damaged by the rain. Nevertheless, the children continued, partly sharing a single chair and a table. Out of the donations collected, we were able to purchase new tables and chairs manufactured locally by Zed-Vision. February 2023 we traveled there and fixed the broken chairs and tables together with the students and delivered new ones. We plan to finish this task 2024 with your help.
Orphanage Choma

Location: 340 km west of Lusaka inland.
Digital library: The children's home in Choma has been part of the project since 2018. A Raspberry Pi with the school software, 2 tablets, a WiFi device, and a beamer are already on site. In 2022 we left four Tablets there and got to know the new head teacher and the home manager.
Special tasks: A new team of teachers will be taught how to run then e-library.
Lugwasyo Open Community School Choma

Location: Choma offroad.
Digital library: The Team was sent to Choma to bring 2 PCs Boxes and Screens to be installed. The School is meanwhile connected to power, so that the E-Library could be installed for all Kids to access it.

Location: Mbala (North of Zambia)

We headed to Mbala this February 2024 with the Goal to set up an Ec2 Digital Open library that would could access to all the Schools in Mbala and the surrounding. Equipped with numerous Computers, Laptops WIFI-Routers and all necessary Equipment, we travelled the 1000 plus km from Lusaka to Mbala and help several workshops with private and Public Schools. The Learning center itself is under construction, but we managed to setup a temporary E-Library at the Church premises, so that learning can continue until the Building structure is in place.
From this location Students, Teachers and the Community will be allocated learning slots. The end goal is to start setting up such libraries in Schools as resources start being available. The Trip was more than a success. But more resources are needed and we been given the assignment to source more than 200 used Pieces of Computers from German. The Schools are ready to save money to cover the cost of Shipment.
For this reason any used hardware from the community is welcome so that we could reach this target before the year ends.
Special tasks: We also attended to a School with special needs, namely the Blind and Albinos and equally provide some resources need, which sometimes goes beyond School needs. The Albinos especially are in need from Sun protection lotions, special sun glasses and other materials that would help them to learn more effectively. We donated a lot of sun lotions, Sunglasses and some toys and installed the braille Printer they needed so much. We are still looking for those that have a passion of attending to these kids with their special needs to help us do so on our next trip.
